Stock Class

Novice Class

Specifications for Novice Stock Class:

Wgt:               not to exceed 5 oz.

Lgth:               not to exceed 7 in.  No part of the car (or accessories) may extend past the starting post.

Wdth:             no more than 2 3/4 in. overall, no less than 1 3/4 in. tire tracking

Track Clearance:  min.  3/8 in.  

Wheelbase:   no specification.

Tires:              original equipment.  Deburring and smoothing allowed.  No altering shape or size of the tire.  Bushings not allowed.  Original Lettering must be visible (Inside and Out). No lightening. You must have 4 tires and axles on the car----placement your choice.

Axles:             BSA, Pinecar or similar.  Axles can not be sprung.

Lubricant:      Powdered Graphite, BSA Teflon, Nyoil II, Krytox 100 (liquid lubricant cannot drip onto track surface)

No oversized or undersized axles allowed in the stock class.

Eligibility:    Anyone who has not won a season championship in any pinewood derby racing division.  After winning a championship season, you must move up to the regular stock class.
